Michael Page



    Michael has been painting and showing in Provincetown, MA since 2000. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City (1988-1989) but is primarily self-taught. He has shown at The Musselman Gallery (Provincetown & Hudson, NY), Tristan Gallery (Provincetown), McGuire Gallery (New Bedford, MA & Nantucket, MA), William Scott Gallery (Provincetown & Boston) and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.


    In addition to his visual arts career Michael Page has pursued his interest in music and poetry. Since 2004 Michael has composed and recorded nearly fifty records, compact disks and cassettes under various monikers and has published several volumes of poetry. His ambient electronic recordings have been used in independently produced documentaries and foreign films. He has toured both Europe and Japan performing his brand of industrial music.


    Michael is the resident scenic painter and set designer for the Payomet Performing Art Center in Truro and created the sets for Payomet's productions of Sartre's 'No Exit' and John Logan's 'Red'.

Artist Statement
Michael's 2017 body of work is a conscience attempt to "let go", to compose in a much looser style

while using a more vibrant palette. These paintings were created during a singular, brief, yet intense

moment of inspiration.
